Wash Your Hands

On September 8, 2009, President Barak Obama gave an address to the nation’s school children urging them to work hard and and take responsibility for their futures. He promised that he would do everything in his power to make sure they had the educational resources they needed to become successful, productive adults. Whether one approves of Mr. Obama’s methods or not, we can all agree that our children need our support and guidance if they are to become useful members of our society.

It is, then, in the spirit of the greater good that we make our “Wash Your Hands” song (and all of the songs in the Circle of Education program) available to the public for free. It is our belief that children who are exposed to music as an educational vehicle will become better learners as they grow. It is our hope that our program can become one of the important resources Mr. Obama spoke about.

Although we weren’t specifically thinking of the H1N1 virus when we created our “Wash Your Hands” song, it has, of course, become very timely lately. We hope that it can help young learners develop good hygiene habits and reduce their chances of contracting this and other illnesses. To paraphrase Mr. Obama, we hope they wash their hands a lot!
